PRINTERS ROW — Another restaurant has left the South Loop.
Patrons looking to dine at Bar Louie Monday inside Dearborn Station, 47 W. Polk St., were greeted by a sign on the door informing them the restaurant was permanently closed.
The reason for the abrupt closure is unknown, as representatives from the restaurant could not be reached. The national chain closed two locations in the Detroit area over the weekend due to poor sales, according to ABC Detroit.
It’s the third spate of closures in five years for the chain. Outposts in Hyde Park and River North were among 38 locations closed in 2020 when parent company BL Restaurant Operations, LLC filed for bankruptcy.
There are three remaining restaurants in the Chicago area, including a University Village location that opened in 2016.
